HOW CAN THIS BE?

Some of you may know that my uncle, Paul Maslansky, is responsible for some of the greatest masterworks ever produced: The Police Academy films and Cop and a Half. Scorcese and Spielberg, cry yourselves to sleep because you couldn't touch that magic. That magic beats in my breast because I am genetically linked to it. And I put it to good use too, like making delicious peanut butter sandwiches and tying shoes.

So you can imagine how surprised I was when I found out that my uncle produced a Blaxploitation film called Sugar Hill well before his massive success in the comedy genre. This film seems to have contributed a new dash of pepper to Blaxploitation by introducing a voodoo element. It's about a chocolate temptress seeking revenge on the Italian Mafia with the help of a Voodoo Priestess. Sweet. My only question is why wasn't this film brought to my attention sooner? And how the hell did a Jew from Queens get involved in it? When I find out, you'll be the first to know. In the meantime, check out the trailer:

A treasured family heirloom I'm sure.

I want to see it!

Yo, you should do a zany Boogie Nights style bio-pic about the rise and fall of Paul Maslansky, in which you play the leading role as your uncle! You should also write, direct and produce it. I can feel the Oscar nomination coming already!
