A band I'd would've liked to put in my must-put-in-bucket-list-but-it's-too-late-list

The Nation of Ulysses



They strangely had zero melody in the guitars; they sounded like a duo of wailing twangers, engaging in 'the ancient art of weaving' quite badly. But on record it sounds like melody is in there somehow. In lieu of this are there ghosts of melody? I dunno, maybe it's just the rhythm shifts working in tandem with Ian Svonius' charisma that made this band really work.
